Prizes

An international jury will award a prize of EUR 1,000 to the first-place winners in three age-groups - 12 to 15 years old, 16 to 19 years old, and 20 to 25 years old - within each of the contest's three categories. The winners will be invited to an award ceremony to be held at the opening of the Chachipe Youth exhibition in Budapest in Spring 2009. The winning photos also will be included in a special Chachipe Youth contest publication.

The categories are as follows:

"My Street, My Neighborhood"
Show us what life is like on your own street and in the neighborhood beyond. Show us where your life takes place: where you study, where you meet your friends. Use photographs to reveal the part of the world that you consider your own.

"My Colorful Life"
What brings color to your life? What makes it exciting? Your friends? School? Music? Sports? Maybe it is something that others can't even imagine?

"What Is Wrong?"
Is there something wrong with the environment around you? What is not right about the way people treat each other? What is missing from your own life? What else do you see that you think is wrong?
